 Settles Hotel

It's been well over 75 years since the hotel's grand opening in 1930 as one of the premier luxury accommodations between Fort Worth and El Paso, Texas. Located in the heart of downtown Big Spring, Texas, the 15-story, opulent hotel opened October 1, 1930. It was the heart of a proud community, with its lavish ballroom playing host to many exclusive events, dances, and parties. And now, The Settles Hotel is entering a new era of rebirth as the community's focal point on downtown restoration. It won't be long until the Settles Hotel is once again the center of activity in Big Spring.

The Settles Hotel Project took life on August 21, 2008 with ground breaking ceremonies which included Governor Rick Perry and several other dignitaries.   The public-private venture is a major step in the redevelopment of downtown Big Spring.
