LOCAL INCENTIVES
Big Spring Economic Development Corporation is funded by a one-half (½) cent 4a sales tax referendum under the Development Corporation Act of 1979. Big Spring Economic Development Corporation assists, stimulates, and enhances economic development in Big Spring, Texas, subject to applicable State and Federal laws and the Bylaws and the Articles of Incorporation of Big Spring Economic Development Corporation. Moore utilizes its sales tax revenues to increase job opportunities available to the citizens of Big Spring by assisting in the expansion of local industry and the attraction of new industry to Big Spring and Howard County.
Big Spring Economic Development Corporation can assist with incentives for:

- Rent Subsidies
Unions
Big Spring is in a right-to-work state. Therefore, the level of unions represented in our area is limited to only one manufacturing company: International Union of Operating Engineers at the Alon USA Refinery.
